Sick colleague? Send your good wishes with these phrases
If one of your colleagues falls ill, you‘ll want to let them know you‘re thinking of them, especially if it‘s something serious. Whether they are in hospital or convalescing at home, it will boost your colleague‘ s spirits if they know they‘ve got your support.
The question is what to put in the get-well card or email. We all know that well-worn phrase ‘Get well soon.‘ But it‘s been used so much that it‘s become a cliché and doesn‘t convey much genuine emotion any more.
Here are some other expressions you could use – ones that sound more sincere and personal.
- I am sorry to hear that you‘ve been taken ill. I hope you‘ll be back at work soon. But in the meantime, take it easy!
- Sorry to hear that you are unwell. We miss you! Take your time getting better – we can manage. The most important thing is to make a full recovery.
- We heard about your accident and we are thinking of you. You‘re a valued member of the team and we‘ll miss your input. Sending you our warmest wishes for a speedy recovery.
